Middle School Ultimate Frisbee Team – Coach

Montclair Ultimate is seeking an enthusiastic Coach for our coed MS Ultimate frisbee program for the upcoming 2026 spring season and beyond.  This position is currently only for Wednesdays, however there is potential for it to develop into more. 

The Coach is responsible for teaching fundamental and advanced Ultimate techniques to both new players and established athletes, fostering a positive and fun team culture, and upholding the Spirit of the Game.  

Season & Schedule

• Dates: March 9 – Early June.

• Practices: Wednesdays from 4:00 PM – 6:00 PM

• Location:  Anderson Park in Montclair, NJ 

Key Responsibilities

• Spirit of the Game: Instill principles of respect, integrity, and fair play while providing a positive environment where players feel comfortable attempting new skills.

• Instruction & Strategy: Plan and conduct engaging practices and game-day strategies to support players with a range of abilities.

• Team Management: Maintain effective communication with the other MS team coaches and the players.

Qualifications

• Experience: Experience coaching or playing Ultimate.

• Leadership: Strong interpersonal and organizational skills.

• Certification: A current USAU Youth Coach Certificate. Montclair Ultimate will reimburse you for the costs involved.

Compensation

• Hourly Rate: $30.00 per hour.
